Call for Nominations: Equator Prize 2025 – Nature for Climate Action

The UNDP Equator Initiative has launched the Equator Prize 2025 to honor outstanding community and Indigenous initiatives advancing nature-based solutions for sustainable development. Winners will receive USD 10,000 and gain access to global policy dialogues and special events.

 

Nomination Deadline: February 23,2025

Who can apply? Community-led projects focused on climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and a just transition.

Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Practices to Combat Climate Change in Ukraine

On September 5th, 2012, the UNDP Deputy Country Director, Ms. Elena Panova, Mr. Sergei Mikheev, Deputy Head of Lugansk Oblast State Administration, Mr. Zaza Zugbaya, Lugansk Deputy Mayor, and Mr. Vadym Reznik, Secretary of Aleksandrovsk town council, visited a kindergarten in the Teplychne settlement for an official presentation and overview of the GEF SGP projects’ results. Major activities of the projects included construction, renovation and insulation works.
