Solar batteries, which provide an autonomous lighting system for buildings, have been placed in three households of Stanytsia-Luhanska, Luhansk region. Currently these households are hosting internally displaced people affected by combat actions.
The GEF SGP project is aimed at promoting of alternative energy and engaging local communities to use green technologies in everyday life. Solar batteries, apart from reducing the cost of electricity, also reduce heat and gas emissions.
