The training session was attended by 30 representatives of rural communities, NGOs and local authorities of Lugansk region. Some of the NGOs have already been involved into the previousOP-5 Cycleof the Small Grants Programme. Those were NGO “Ecomerezha”, NGO “Babylon Club”, NGO “Tsilyusha Syla” and some other. The attendees have shared their successful experience in implementing the Small Grants Program projects.
All participants have been familiarised with thematic lines of activity under the new sixth cycle of the UNDP/GEF Small Grants Programme, and landscape approach to new projects, namely the steppe landscape with outcrops of chalk.
At the training session, the participants tried to develop project proposals or concepts out of some interesting ideas for the UNDP/GEF SGP. At the close the training session, for all interested, a visit to Kreminna children summer camp has been organized in order to provide illustrative example for the development of project proposals for modernization of the heating system of the children summer camp building.
