On April 16 a round table discussion “Implementation of Environmentally Safe Solid Waste Management System in Zaporizhia Region” was held in Zaporizhia. The event was supported by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Ecological Policy, Natural Resources and Elimination of the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster, Zaporizhia Regional State Administration, Zaporizhia Regional Federation of Employers and the project “Strengthening Environmental Governance by Building the Capacity of Non-Governmental Organizations” funded by the EU within the framework of the UNDP-GEF Small Grants Programme in Ukraine. Ecological Recycling Association of Ukraine, All-Ukrainian Environmental League and NGO “Geosystem” organized the roundtable.
