Call for Nominations: Equator Prize 2025 – Nature for Climate Action

The UNDP Equator Initiative has launched the Equator Prize 2025 to honor outstanding community and Indigenous initiatives advancing nature-based solutions for sustainable development. Winners will receive USD 10,000 and gain access to global policy dialogues and special events.

 

Nomination Deadline: February 23,2025

Who can apply? Community-led projects focused on climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and a just transition.

UNESCO calls for nominations for 2016 Prize on Education for Sustainable Development

The Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, has launched a second call for nominations for the UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). This Prize is endowed with USD 50,000 for each of the three recipients, honouring and showcasing outstanding efforts of individuals, institutions and organizations engaged in ESD.
