World Environment Day: Land Restoration and Drought Resilience

On June 5th, we celebrate World Environment Day, dedicated to raising awareness and supporting environmental actions. This year's focus is on land   restoration, combating desertification, and building drought resilience.

Land degradation threatens water and food security and drives migration. Concrete measures are needed to address the climate crisis. In 2023, natural disasters caused 26.4 million new internal displacements. The World Bank predicts that without climate action, over 216 million people could become climate migrants by 2050.

This day highlights the importance of community participation in environmental protection and collective efforts for a sustainable future.
